News approval process
Problem
The company's internal marketing team was faced with the challenge of implementing an approval process for news from all departments for the new intranet in SharePoint Online. The process was to ensure a four-eyes check to guarantee the accuracy of all information sent to staff. The system should also enable efficient distribution control of news so that employees are presented with the news that is relevant to them.
Solution
The approval process for internal company news was implemented using a SharePoint web part and a LogicApp. The web part enables relevant information to be entered and the news to be displayed. The LogicApp maps the approval process. By using metadata, it was possible to implement distribution control. In future, the metadata can also be used to display news according to individual preferences.
