Problem

Employees often have to spend considerable time manually entering invoice data. This data—such as name, customer address, invoice date, tax amount, and the like—is often available in variable forms, whether handwritten, printed, or digital, which makes it considerably more difficult to capture automatically.

Solution

Using an AI-based process in the form of pre-trained AI from Cognitive Services, the "invoice corner data" could be recognized and automatically extracted using Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and then displayed to the user as a suggestion in the invoice capture tool.
